Creating an Organization
Organizations are the top-level container in PingBase. Everything — status pages, components, monitors, and team members — belongs to an organization.
Overview
When you first sign up for PingBase, the onboarding flow guides you through creating your first organization. You can create additional organizations later from the dashboard.
Each organization has a unique slug used in URLs, a name displayed in the dashboard, and a plan that determines feature limits.
Plans
| Plan | Status Pages | Components | Monitors |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | 1 | 5 | 3 |
| Starter | 3 | 20 | 10 |
| Business | 10 | 100 | 50 |
| Enterprise | Unlimited | Unlimited | Unlimited |
Team Roles
Each team member has a role that determines their permissions within the organization:
Owner
Full access. Can manage billing, delete the organization, and manage all team members.
Admin
Can manage status pages, components, incidents, monitors, and settings. Cannot delete the organization.
Member
Can create and update incidents, manage components, and view analytics.
Viewer
Read-only access to the dashboard and analytics.
Settings
Organization settings are accessible from Dashboard → Settings. Here you can update the organization name, configure the default timezone, manage team members, and view or rotate API keys.
